iterative program to calculate the gcd of two numbers

I am in desperate need of help in completing a homework in iterative program to calculate the gcd of two numbers. I need to submit it by next week and am having a hard time trying to work out a few tricky problems. I tried some of the online help sites but have not gotten much help so far. I would be really glad if anyone can help me.
