Hello all, I have a very important test coming up in algebra soon and I would really appreciate if any of you can help me solve some questions in college entrance maths for dummies. I am reasonably good in math otherwise but problems in percentages baffle me and I am at a loss. It would be wonderful if you can let me know of a reasonably priced software that I can use?

What exactly don't you understand about college entrance maths for dummies? I remember having problem with the same thing in Remedial Algebra, so I might be able to give you some ideas on how to approach such problems. However if you want help with algebra on a long term basis, then you should try out Algebra Professor, that's what I did in my College Algebra, and I have to say it's amazing! It's much cheaper than a tutor and you can count on it anytime you feel like. It's not hard to use it, even if you never ever had a similar program. I would advise you to buy it as soon as you can and forget about getting a math teacher. You won't regret it!

My parents could not afford my college fees, so I had to work in the evening, after my classes. Solving problems at the end of the day seemed to be difficult for me at those times. A friend introduced Algebra Professor to me and since then I never had any problem solving my questions.

I remember having often faced problems with parallel lines, exponent rules and adding exponents. A truly great piece of algebra program is Algebra Professor software. By simply typing in a problem from workbook a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many algebra classes – Pre Algebra, Basic Math and Pre Algebra. I greatly recommend the program.
