simplify radicals, calculator is my worst problem. Can some one assist me understand it? I am a novice at it. What book or other resource do you suggest for starting this subject?

You seem to be facing a similar problem that I had some time back. I too thought of hiring a paid help to work it out for me. But they are so costly that I just could not afford one. So I turned to the internet and found so many software that can help with algebra homework on function range, point-slope and radical expressions. After some trials I found that Algebra Professor is the best of the lot. I haven’t found a algebra homework that I can’t get done through Algebra Professor. It is absolutely unbelievable. Best part is, the software gives you a detailed explanation on how to do it yourself. So you actually learn how to solve it yourself. Isn’t it cool?

I remember having problems with mixed numbers, radicals and binomial formula. Algebra Professor is a truly great piece of algebra software. I have used it through several algebra classes - Algebra 2, Algebra 2 and Algebra 1. I would simply type in the problem from a workbook and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
