I'm just wondering if someone can give me a few pointers here so that I can understand the concepts behind online maths tutor. I find solving problems really difficult. I work in the evening and thus have no time left to take extra classes. Can you guys suggest any online resource that can assist me with this subject?

I possibly could help if you can be more specific and provide details about online maths tutor. A proper program would be ideal rather than a costly math tutor. After trying a number of software I found the Algebra Professor to be the best I have so far come across. It solves any math problem that you may want solved. It also shows all the steps (of the solution). You can just write it down as your homework assignment. However, you should use it to learn algebra, and simply not use it to copy answers.

Algebra Professor is a beneficial thing. I have used it a lot. I tried solving the questions myself, at least once before using the software. If I couldn’t solve the question then I used the software to give me the solution. I then used to compare both the solutions and correct my errors.

Algebra Professor is the program that I have used through several math classes - Intermediate algebra, College Algebra and Algebra 1. It is a truly a great piece of math software. I remember of going through difficulties with perfect square trinomial, factoring polynomials and slope. I would simply type in a problem from the workbook, click on Solve – and step by step solution to my algebra homework. I highly recommend the program.
